Benzlers’ screw jacks have been used for generations for jobs where there is a need for linear movement.
The well-assorted product range, with a capacity of up to 100 tonnes per unit, gives machine designers all over the world solutions when there is a need to pull, push, lower or lift a load.
Among the many tasks which have been addressed with this product was the friction welding of fuel tanks for NASA's future Mars mission, perhaps one of the jobs which best confirms the quality of the product and Benzlers’ competence.
ESAB got the job of supplying a welding machine that could do this job. In this design, Benzlers’ BDL screw jack, sizes 100 and 125, are used to lift the sections up for welding.
