Benzlers series C is a combination gear drive where the first stage is a helical gear and the final stage a worm gear. This construction produces an energy-efficient right-angle gear motor that has a high torque rating and high gear ratios in a very compact design.
The performance range goes up to 45 KW with 10,000 NM output torque.
The C gearbox is used in our SWIFT series, and it uses the same modular kits as, for example, our M helical gear and our K helical bevel gear units.
The wide interchangability of kits in this series reduces stock requirements and makes the series especially well-suited to distributors.
The motor is an IEC standard motor that is mounted in a hole shaft with a composite bearing. This also reduces the stocking requirement and makes the product easy to obtain.
Use of the standard IEC motors provides access to a wide range of motor configurations, e.g. brake motors, motors with exterior cooling, very energy-efficient motors etc. Furthermore, there are advantages for the end-user, since these standardised motors can be easily obtained all over the world.
They can be supplied as double, triple, quadruple or quintuple gear drives in almost any version, e.g. flange mounted, mounted on feet, shaft mounted.
